Once again, I'm surprised to have made it to another click round on the old clock. Celebrating tonight in The Doghouse, Wardour St from sixish onwards (happy hour finishes at 7.30). May well head on somewhere later, but I reckon that Milroy's on Greek Street is right out, as I'll have no tastebuds. So I guess that leaves the Troy Club or the Kro Bar...

Of course, this is only the practice for Saturday in Edinburgh -- which I still haven't done anything about. I guess I need a time, place and a list of folk to invite...

According to the UN, five million people are at risk of dying of starvation in Afghanistan this winter. That's not far short of a thousand World Trade Centers-worth.

And people wonder why Oxfam is calling for a pause in bombing...
