I've not been to that steakhouse, but I've been to the Israeli-Indonesian fusion restaurant and takeaway on the prmoenade near the Kurhuis(sp?)
Scheveningen also had the world fireworks championship in the same week as ConFiction (1990 Worldcon in Den Haag) - hundreds of thousands of guilders worth of pyrotechnics going up in smoke two or three times weekly).
I had a lovely Argentine steak at one of the many steakhouses on Lange Leidsedwarsstraat in behind Leidseplein - which is basically "pick a Latin American cuisine, any Latin American cuisine".
