Short notice of something completely different:
My mate Andrew WINOLJ (who I do the stewarding thing with, and who was caught up in the Niddrie siege the other week) is organising a group of people to go along to Fingers Piano Bar on Wednesday night for a spot of beer and music.
I've only been to Fingers twice before (once with a small group of inebriated chemists from an international conference on carbohydrate chemistry and once with Andrew), but it turned out to be a lot more fun than I expected each time.
The plan is to be there for about eleven: I'm not sure if there's an earlier rendezvous point yet.
