Strange night, tonight. Not a lot actually done, spent the first half of the evening thinking it'd be good to go out and see people over a few drinks, followed by attack of lethargy/depression when the option actually arose.

One good thing, though, was the discovery that ice + chopped (peeled!) kiwi fruit + tequila makes a pretty good stab at a home-made frozen kiwi margarita.

Dammit, it's barely midnight and this is Edinburgh. It's that tempting just to go out, anyway.

Sounds like a margarita to me! (A little lime, maybe, and some salt?)

Speaking of odd margaritas, had a cranberry one once that was surprisingly good!

Sounds like it would work - I think there's a lot of research I need to do in the area of[spirit] + [fruit] + crushed ice drinks: which ones work best with a little sugar, which need salt, whether adding fruit juice as well as/instead of crushed fruit.

Now, if only I could find an appropriate funding body...
