Found it. The X Arms on X Terrace off Leicester St. Quiet, good beer. Beats web work hollow. They told me where the pub that was in last year's Guide is, but that can wait for another night.

X = [Somerville, Campion] in that order. Was updating through mojo LJ client from mobile, so entry necessarily terse. The other problem with being down here is that I'm ploughing through the Patrick O'Brians at a great rate (started with Master and Commander last week, and almost finished The Ionian Mission last night).

Can't really say much about the work here yet, so haven't really been saying much else about the town, either.

It's a problem 'cos I've only got one more down here with me (Treason's Harbour, I think), and a long train journey tomorrow (may just have to read The Poisonwood Bible).

In the longer view, it's a problem because there's only a finite number of Aubrey/Maturin books left....
