Tam Dalyell does it again. In a piece for Red Pepper Magazine on Blair, the war criminal (excerpted here), he lists the reason why this war is wrong and points out that Blair should be branded a war criminal and sent to the Hague.

I'd like to see it, but I don't think we will. On the other hand, Blair is complicit in the murder of every Iraqi civilian killed by coalition bombs and missiles. Murder, we're all taught, is a crime, and if you know of a crime about to take place, you should report it.

Unfortunately, it turns out that Crimestoppers' remit only covers the UK.

Depressing, isn't it

But it has mobilised and politicised a lot of people who would normally be apathetic at best. (This is Elinor's inner Polyanna talking, btw...)

Re: Depressing, isn't it

There is that, I guess. I'm feeling guilty again, though, 'cos of not making it to yesterday's lunchtime demo.

There's one tomorrow, outside BP Grangemouth, but I think that's more against BP (or whatever they're called now) than against the war itself.

I've a whistle here that has "stop the war" printed on its ribbon, but it doesn't work. No matter how hard I blow it, the war keeps on. Maybe if we all had one and blew it at the same time?
