Via [livejournal.com profile] stevenothing: What programming language are you??

You are Perl. Congratulations. You're chic and easy going. You can't do everything but you're good at connecting with others to help you overcome this.

I wasn't expecting to get this result (it's as bad as getting the Goth when I was expecting either the Geek or the Outsider on the High School Stereotype Test) so while I'm vaguely chuffed, I have this horrid feeling that the folk I know who know perl are going to be doing the "I knew Jack Kennedy, Senator..." thing.

Well, I seem to have turned out as this...

You are C. You're reliable, and strong. But kinda dull. But that's ok, right?

What programming language are you??

Where I would have guessed something like Python, or Java, or (even) C#...

Oh, I don't know. You don't have to be a Perl hacker to be like Perl, you just have to be resourceful and extremely quirky, so I think you're OK...

Poor quiz design

That's partly because Perl is the default value if you look at the source (use the source, Luke). If you get one of each of the 6 options (or 2 each of 3 options etc.) you still come out as being Perl. Also it looks like all the good answers end up as Perl. I suspect a certain amount of prejudice on the part of the quiz author, in fact reading the descriptions of java, vb and assembler I'm sure of it.

Ha! I should've guessed. I'm intrigued, though, by all the good answers end up as Perl. Must go take a look...
