It's not incredibly documented (except maybe on the guy's actual web site). Or maybe there's a general understanding amongst regular WAP users that we just don't get at first. Try the "Options" button, and there should be one called "Login" that sends your user/pass info.
Of course, now that I've tried it, I'm wondering what else the script might do with my LJ login info...
Yes, playing with the Netjam client (which allows security (public/private) and mood to be entered I found the "Post" command on that one, and then went back and found the "login" command on the netranked one.
The Netjam one seems to be a better implementation (it even stars out the password as you key it into the phone).
But they both post using some local time (and the Netjam one is nearly half an hour slow, which appears to be five hours behind UK, so EDT (US East Coast) somewhere)
Neither client supports community posts or "now listening to" music options, nor the ability to select a user icon. But it's a "dancing bear" so acceptable for posting "I'M ON THE TRAIN" sort of LJ entries.
And at some point I'm going to have to figure out how to send email from this phone (it's one of the features but I guess I'm going to have to find out the CIX phone number again (I've been on cable modem and before that several years with the number stored in the software so I never needed to learn it!)
I'm torn; on the one hand there are times when it would be amazingly handy to be able to post "I'M GOING TO BE LATE, EVERYONE!"; on the other hand, it might tempt me to try and use WAP, and that's an experience I always come away from hurting.
I'd have preferred the netjam one, but my phone denies they exist for some reason (and trying to look a their site with IE got me a text listing of the index.jsp page - I gues someone may have been 'fixing' something.

Worked first time for me
As long as none of these clients allow you to *read* LJ on your mobile I'll be safe ... <grin!>
